Mat Pilates

What is it?

Mat Pilates is a low impact class which focuses on building a strong core, enhancing mobility, control and coordination. Pilates involves learning how to complete a series of precise movements and exercises designed to strengthen your core muscles, improve posture, and boost your body's stability. Pilates is great supplementary training for strength training, athletic performance and injury prevention. Exercises are completed standing, sitting, kneeling and laying on the mat and often involves the use of handheld equipment.

How it runs:

The program runs in blocks coinciding with school terms, individuals may sign up for the whole block or attend casually (places will be prioritised to those committing to the whole term). These classes are suitable for beginners to advanced and each session runs for 45 minutes.
Please note you will be required to get up and down off the floor frequently in this class.
