Exercise Rehabilitation and Strength & Conditioning

What is it?

Exercise rehabilitation is aimed at getting the individual back to their required activity level using more traditional strength and condition methods, the type of exercise prescribed and undertaken will vary dependent on each individual. 

What happens in a session?

The clinician will undertake a thorough examination to identify the source of the problem, areas that require re-training or strengthening.
Examination may include:
  • Orthopaedic assessment
  • Functional movement screening
  • Walking or running analysis
  • Riding analysis
  • Specific movement analysis for exercise or activities
 
Exercise prescription is given in a range of different forms dependent on your individual capabilities as well as individual goals and functional or exercise specific requirements.

Who and what is it suitable for?

Is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as exercises can be varied greatly to suit each person. Is suitable for most conditions, can be used for acute accident or injury rehabilitation, for chronic conditions, for injury prevention or to improve or enhance performance.
