HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training - the aim in this class is for you to move as much of your body around as possible. In these classes we combine cardio exercises, light resistance high repetition exercises and whole body activities.
There are many benefits of this type of exercise inclusive of improvement in mitochondrial functioning (these are your cells that create energy), and an increase in both carbohydrate and fat metabolism. On top of this strength and conditioning training is proven to reduce pain and increase general functioning. |
