Functional Movement Assessment

What is it?

Functional movement assessment can be used on an individual basis or as a part of osteopathic treatment or exercise rehabilitation.

What happens in a session?

Functional movement screening uses the Functional Movement Groups M.A.T screening tool to quantify movement, further more your practitioner will assess the quality of movement throughout this screen. Following this your practitioner may provide you with manual therapy treatment if required or prescribe exercise or stretching intervention dependent on findings.

Who is it for?

This is a great tool to screen for potential injuries and with prescription of intervention will decrease injury potential, it is also fantastic in acute injury rehabilitation to more specifically target key weaknesses and the quantifiable data obtained from the assessment allows your practitioner to better determine when it is suitable for you to return to activity.
