Clinical Pilates

What is it?

Pilates is a low impact, high intensity form of exercise that focuses on the development of strength, flexibility, balance and co-ordination through flowing movements. 

What happens in a session?

A comprehensive examination looking for areas of movement dysfunction with exercise prescription using a pilates reformer or mat base specifically targeting the areas of dysfunction.   
Prescription focuses specifically on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility and breathing.   

Who and what is suitable?

Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels because of its variability and low impact nature. It is suitable for most conditions that would commonly present inclusive of back and pelvic pain, shoulder pain, sports injuries and more as well as being excellent for improving overall strength and wellbeing.
